ARRESTS: 
Lionel K. Bell was released on 9-23-2014 on $1,000 surety bond with a court date of 10-28-2014 at 9:00 a.m. 
Aaron R. Chernault, 31, Corning, was arrested on 9-23-2014 by NMSO for alleged Domestic Battery. Aaron Chernault was released on $1500 surety bond on 9-24-2014 with a court date of 10-21-2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Misty K. Shephard, 37, Wamego was arrested on 9-23-2014 by NMSO on a Nemaha County Warrant for Violation of the Offender Registration Act.  Shephard remains in custody with bond set at $10,000.
Clover L. Lyons, 35, Oak Grove, MO was arrested on 9-23-2014 by NMSO for alleged Driving Under the Influence and Transporting an Open Container. Lyons was released on $1000 surety bond on 9-24-2014 with a court date of 10-28-2014 at 9:30 a.m. 
Manda M. Feldkamp, 38, Kansas City, MO was arrested on 9-27-2014 by the Seneca PD for the offense of Battery.  Feldkamp was released on $500 cash bond on 9-28-2014 with a court date of 10-22-2014 at 9:00 a.m.
Zachariah Brown, 31, Horton, KS was arrested by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office on 9-27-2014 for the offenses of Possession of Stolen Property and Interference with Law Enforcement.  Bond has not been set.
CASES: 
Sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on 9-17-2014 an unknown person entered the residence at 311 Jilson in Bern and removed several prescription medications, a Playstation game and jewelry.  Approximate value of  loss is $205.
Sometime between 9-14-2014 and 9-20-2014 an unknown person took a 2012 Honda Rancher ATV, camouflage in color, and a set of ramps from a building at 128th & K Road.  Approximately $4820 loss.
Sometime between 9-10-2014 and 9-16-2014 an unknown person entered the Community Building at Leisure Lodges in Centralia and removed several items including toilet paper, trash bags, plates & bowls. Approximately $50 loss.
Sometime between 8 p.m. on 9-20-2014 and noon on 9-21-2014 an unknown person removed a stone cross from the yard at 5303 Abbott in Goff.  Approximately $150 loss.
Sometime between 9 p.m. on 9-27-2014 and 8 a.m. on 9-28-2014 an unknown person took a set of 4 tires and rims from 8608 Lake St. in Oneida.  Approximately $1,000 loss.
On the morning of 9-27-2014 NMSO responded to a call of an abandoned vehicle and a suspicious person near 1st and N Road in southern Nemaha County.  Upon arriving at the scene, deputies saw a white male run into the cornfield.  Along with the assistance of the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, a search was conducted but the suspect was unable to be located that time.  After investigation, it was determined that the abandoned vehicle had been reported as stolen.  At approximately 5:00 p.m. that afternoon the suspect, Zachariah Brown, was apprehended without incident.
ACCIDENTS:
On 9-23-2014 at 7:06 a.m. Taylor R. Hagedorn, 23, Corning was traveling westbound on 56th Road approximately ½ mile east of H Road when she lost control and overturned.  She was driving a 2008 Chrysler Aspen.  Over $1,000 damage.
On 9-20-2014 at 12:10 a.m. Ross Hermesch, 18, Goff was traveling eastbound on 136th Road and missed the turn onto L Road striking a tree.  He was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer.  Over $l,000 damage.
On 9-22-2014 at 4:33 p.m. Violenta R. Lockhart, 75, Bern was traveling westbound on 192nd Road approximately .9 miles west of W4 Road.  She swerved to miss a tree limb in the roadway, overcorrected, and lost control.  She was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. Over $1,000 damage. Lockhart was transported to the Sabetha Hospital by ambulance. 
On 9-19-2014 Douglas W. Jorgenson, 52, Waterville, KS was traveling eastbound on US 36 Hwy near milepost 328 when he attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Stephanie L. Plattner, 30 of Sabetha. Plattner attempted to make a left hand turn into a private drive and was struck by Jorgenson’s vehicle. Jorgenson was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram, and Plattner was driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. Over $1,000 damage. Plattner was transported to NVCH by ambulance.
On 9-22-2014 at 5:30 p.m. Shea T. Keegan, 19, Baileyville was traveling northbound on D road approximately ¼ mile north of 160th Road when he fell asleep, left the roadway and struck a concrete guard rail and rolled his vehicle. He was driving a 1993 Lincoln Town Car.  Over $1,000 damage.
On 9-24-2014 at 7:00 a.m. Larry J. Sparling, 45, Seneca was traveling southbound on K-63 Hwy approximately ½ mile north of 176th Road when he struck a deer. He was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup. Under $1,000 damage.
On 9-20-2014 at 11:11 a.m. Sierra M. Becker, 15, Corning and two others were was riding a 2014 Polaris Ranger in a pasture just west of K Road and north of 52nd Road when it overturned. Becker was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
On 9-24-2014 at 12:38 p.m. Jeffrey T. Stowell, 25, Frankfort was traveling southbound on US 75 Highway approximately ¾ mile south of 224th Road when the engine of his 2005 Kenworth Semi started on fire. Over $1,000 damage.
