Sheriff's Report as of October 15


 

ARRESTS:
As of 10/6/2014 all three juveniles involved in incident occurring on 10/4/2014 near 80th and T Road in Nemaha County have been taken into custody.  All three are in Juvenile Detention at this time.  They are as follows: Colby Boehm, 16 years of age, Seneca, KS Keith Hawkins, 17 years of age, Walton, KS Justin Hendrick, 17 years of age, Topeka, KS Charges are pending.
Marvic Dalsing was released by the court on 10-7-2014.
Brandon D. Watkins, 47, Goff was arrested by NMSO on 10-12-2014  for alleged Driving Under the Influence. Watkins was released on $1250 surety bond on 10-12-2014 with a court date of 11-18-2014 at 10 a.m. 
Kipp C. Barnes, 61, Sabetha was arrested on 10-12-2014 by Sabetha PD for alleged Driving Under the Influence. Barnes remains in custody. 
Ransom J. Routledge, 29, Brookfield, MO was arrested on 10-11-2014 for alleged Possession of Marijuana. Routledge was released on $1500 cash bond with a court date of 11-11-2014 at 9 a.m.
CASES: 
Sometime between 9-25-2014 and 10-4-2014 an unknown person entered a storage shed belonging to the Apostolic Christian Church of rural Sabetha and removed a Country Klipper lawn mower and two weed eaters. Approximately $5,330 loss.
ACCIDENTS:
On 9-26-2014 at 11:45 p.m. Megan Showman, 19, Seneca was traveling southbound on J Road approximately ¼ mile north of 216th Road when she lost control, left the roadway and rolled.  She was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus.  Over $1,000.  Showman was transported to the Pawnee Hospital by private vehicle.
On 10-6-2014 at 7:30 p.m. Elizabeth A. Badertscher, 21, Pawnee City, NE was traveling eastbound on 232nd Road ½ mile east of G Road when she struck a deer.  She was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cruze 4 door.  Over $1,000 damage.
On 10-6-2014 at 6:58 a.m. William B. Baker, 39, Hiawatha was traveling westbound on US 36 Highway at Y Road.  Brandon M. Brownlee, 14, Sabetha, was traveling eastbound on US 36 and had stopped awaiting the oncoming vehicle to make the left-hand turn onto Y Road (Old Hwy 75).  Collin D. Holthaus, 18, Seneca was traveling eastbound and struck Brownlee from the rear.  Holthaus was transported to the Sabetha Hospital by ambulance.  Two passengers in Baker’s vehicle, Sarah Emily and Thaddeus Emily, were also transported by ambulance. Baker was driving a 2005 Ford van, Brownlee was driving a 1988 Ford pickup, and Holthaus was driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Over $1,000 damage.
On 10-10-2014 at 12:01 a.m. Michael E. Schmitz was traveling eastbound on 216th Road approximately ¼ mile east of D Road when he left the roadway, hit a field drive and rolled onto the driver’s side.  He was driving a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Over $1,000 damage.
On 10-12-2014 at 4:00 a.m. Roberta Plattner, 64, Sabetha was traveling westbound on US 36 Highway ½ mile east of X Road when she struck a deer.  She was driving a 2001 Buick Century.  Over $1,000 damage.
